The NRM chairpersons from greater Kilembe have written to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni seeking his intervention into the possibility of revamping Kilembe Mines Hospital.
Delivering the letter today through the office of the Kasese Resident district commissioner, Lt. Joe Walunsimbi, the delegation decried the withdraw of PHC money, medical supplies and Health workers at the facility.
Addressing the media shortly after handing over the letter to the RDC,s secretary, Mr. Jackson Mbabo the NRM chairperson for Nyakabingo sub-county, said the withdrawal of personnel and credit line in Kilembe Mines Hospital has affected health care services and most especially to the less privileged and vulnerable people. Mr. Simon Bwambale, the NRM chairperson for Mbunga sub-county, described the eight health workers out of eighty four retained at the facility as a drop of water in an ocean basing on the local community demanding health care services at the facility.
