Shadow Minister for Local Government, Hon. Betty Naluyima calls for streamlined payment systems in government to minimize audit queries among civil servants.

In an interview with Kasese guide radio shortly after presiding over Parliamentary accounts committee meeting held at Hoima district headquarters yesterday(22nd.June.2022), Hon. Betty contends that some of the audit queries are system generated and end up tempting civil servants into acting selfishly.

She said they were to recommend that government revisits her payment systems so as to fill the remaining gaps that have opened avenues for the un faithful civil servants to swindle public funds.  Hon. Betty speaking..

Hon. Robert Kisunzu, the Kasese district Secretary for Works and technical services who represented the district chairman, Mr. Eriphaz Muhindi said the parliamentary committee was concerned about the causes for over and under payments to some civil, as well as delayed salaries. END.
