Government is to support the families of the Local Resistance Council ones chairpersons and some civil servants who were killed by the National Army for the Liberation of Uganda [NALU] rebels in Kitholhu sub-county in Kasese district about 35 years ago.
Hon. Godfrey Kabbyanga, the Minister of State for ICT and National Guidance who thanked Kyabikere parish for organizing the prayers yesterday, apologized to the bereaved families over the October 9th 1989 incident, adding that he was following up the matter with the Minister for Rwenzori-Luwero triangle, Hon. Those killed were, Mr. John Mafuta Baluku, the then Sub-County chief, Mr. Alfred Muhindo Kabuke, the then Vice chairperson LC3 for Kitholhu sub-county, Mr. Seleverio Kisenja Kisune, RC 1 for Kyabikere village, Mr. Baguma Muleju-an LDU, Mr. Mbusa Ntolyo Kapara and Mr. Gideon Bwambale Bagheni among others.
