The Minister of state for Local Government Hon.Victoria Businge Rusoke has announced that government would establish one Secondary School in Kahokya Sub-County in Kasese District next financial year.
She said the low enrolment levels which seemed to mostly affect girl children and those from poor families were associated with financial and cultural constraints and lack of schools and requisite education facilities in Kahokya sub-county.
Speaking to Kasese Guide Radio shortly after the campaign rally of the NRM Flag bearer for Busongora County South, Hon.Gideon Thembo Mujungu at Kahokya trading center in Kahokya sub-County yesterday, Hon. Victoria said by policy every sub-county is entitled to a secondary school, water and electricity among others.

Hon.Victoria who said the area was endowed with Natural resources and fertile soils, urged residents to engage in active production for food security and sustainable income at house hold level.
The Chairperson LC3 Kahokya sub-county, Mr. Nyesio Byamutima Bwambale asked government to construct more boreholes in the area to boost the proposed water project. END.
