Government has embarked on the construction of more communication masts in a bid to boost internet and individual telephone calls in rural areas, the state Minister for National Guidance, Hon. Godfrey Kabbyanga, has said.
Addressing, staff, students and various education stakeholders at Karambi secondary school in Kasese district over the weekend, Hon. Kabbyanga said the development was basically to better internet services for purposes of streamlining communication for development, including security of the country.
Hon. Kabbyanga who also laid a memorial foundation stone for the late Paddy Kabagambe at the school Computer laboratory, said the development would also mean that the telecommunication companies in Uganda would reduce telecommunication costs to Ugandans.

The Former Kasese Municipal Mayor later said that whereas the eased communication has made the world a single village, it has also brought on board a number of immoral acts that government was working hard against.
