Government has finalized plans for a massive campaign against settlement in disaster prone areas to save lives and property, Hon. Dr. Chris Baryomunsi, the ICT and National Guidance Minister has said.
Hon. Baryomunsi who was yesterday addressing hundreds of people most of them Adventist Christians as a fundraising drive for the completion of Kasese Community Better Living center complex of the Adventist Church in Kasese Municipality in Kasese district, described the recent Kasika village incident as unfortunate but can be dealt with to minimize damage.
Hon. Dr. Chris Baryomunsi represented the Speaker of the Parliament of Uganda, Rt. Hon. Anita Among as Chief Guest at the same function where more than one hundred million shillings was collected in cash.
