The local leadership of Rugendabara-Kikongo town council in Kasese district has called for the intervention of Kasese local government into a possible provision of a garbage collection truck to save the area from a likely disease outbreak.
In his report to the Kasese district chairman, Mr. Erifaz Muhindi during his visit to the area, Mr. Daniel Kambale, the town council local council three chairperson said his office was spending almost all the local revenue collections in hiring trucks to collect garbage, most of which is from local farm produces.
He asked the district chairman for a truck or tractor that would only be serviced and fueled to do the work than meeting the hire costs that are currently calling for legal battles. Mr. Kambale speaking………
In the same report, Mr. Kambale asked the district political boss to expedite plans for a mini-irrigation scheme to boost food production in the area.
Mr. Muhindi later asked the Rugendabara-Kikongo town council to write to the Kasese district Chief Administrative Officer over a possibility to acquire a garbage collection truck and guidance for a mini-irrigation scheme. Mr. Muhindi speaking………..
