    Government plans to settle back homes of displaced placed.

    As Government plans to settle back to their homes the recently internally displaced people, some have indicated how its impossible looking at their destructed homes and gardens.

    Mr. Mutundya Masereka 54 year at Kiraro primary school camp in Kitholhu sub county whose son the late Johabu Kyakere Mbusa was killed by landslides said that he has no more space for settlement after his land and structures were swept by the landslides and floods. Mr. Mutundya speaks…

    Ms Harriet Kabugho a daughter to the late Ayubu Muzombo who died in the recent landslides said that their home wasn’t safer the reason their father was buried at their uncle`s home. She called for plans to secure for them land for settlement than to their original home. Ms Harriet speaking……

    A 70 year old widow, Ms Bughabirwa Kabugho Kibugha who lost her daughter and grand children by landslides was hopeless of the future now that her caretakers were no more. Ms Bughabirwa on fear……

    The Vice Chairperson Kitholhu sub county in Kasese district Hon. Damali Nyabongo expressed fear of a possible cholera outbreak when the locals now in camps retreat to their homes with no toilets now that most of them have been swept away. She also feared that for those families whose houses were destroyed, sharing small spaces among family members compromises morals especially among children. Hon. Damali speaking……

    The parish priest for Nsenyi catholic parish Rev Fr. Modest Kasenyangwe who proposed joint solutions to minimize disasters called for calm among the people in camps because God was with them the fact that their situation is temporary.

    The Curate for Kyabikere catholic parish, Rev Fr. Fedius Bwambale later told our reporter that the situation was a reminder to the affected people that the area was vulnerable and not fit for settlement, praying that God blesses them for permanent homes soon.Fr. Fedius speaking………..

    Six people are believed to have died in the recent floods and landslide in Kitholhu. May their souls rest in peace. END
