The Government of Uganda, through the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development, has today distributed brand new vehicles to all recognized cultural leaders nationwide.
The move is intended to enhance the cultural leader’s capacity to effectively reach their subjects, foster stronger community engagement, and preserve Uganda’s rich cultural heritage.
Speaking at the launch held in Kampala, the Minister for Gender, Labour and Social Development, Hon. Betty Amongi, emphasized the crucial role traditional leader’s play in unifying communities and promoting social development.
Her Royal Highness the Rwenzururu Queen, Agnes Ithungu Asimawe, Minister of Gender, Rehabilitation and Disability affairs and Omusinga Personal Assistant, Hon. David Bradford Nguru, received the Cars for His Majesty Charles Wisley Mumbere Iremangoma registration UA221R- V8 and a leader vehicle, Double Cabin Pick-up.
The Minister of Information and Kingdom spokesperson, Hon. Goeffery Kanyonyi, commended President Museveni for the timely donation.
