    GISO for Rukoki S/C remanded to Mubuku Government prison until 30.May 2022

    Chief magistrate’s court siting at Rukoki has today remanded Mr.Goefrey Bwambale Kikama-GISO Rukoki sub-County to Mubuku Government prison until 30.May 2022 on allegation of killing his brother, late Augastine Masereka Kikama 45 on February 21.2020.

    Presiding over Court the chief magistrate His worship Opiyo James, remanded Geoffrey Kikama on grounds that his case can only be heard by high court.

    Mr. Basomi Wamudaki, State Attorney for Kasese district told Kasese guide radio shortly after court session that Kikama will stay on remand for the mean time until police completes investigation.Mr. Basomi on Kikama…

    Residents have welcomed Bwambale’s arrest, arguing that it had been delayed by some elements in security who have been protecting him for all this long, Mr. Neckson Kimbesa the nephew of the deceased said after the suspect was remanded. Mr.Neckson on Giso…..

    Residents found Kikama’s body dumped in Kigoro River, a few meters from his home.

    Bwambale, 49, was briefly arrested and released under unclear circumstances before being re-arrested yesterday after the Resident state attorney sanctioned his file to police. END.
