About thirty pilgrims from Germany and similar numbers from DR Congo, are expected to join the Kasese Diocesan Choir as the Diocese animates the Uganda Martyrs’ day national celebrations next year, Rt. Rev. Francis Aquirinus Kibira Kambale, the Ordinary of the Diocese of Kasese announced.
In his speech during a dinner organized at Sheraton Hotel in Kampala on Wednesday to solicit funds for the celebrations, Bishop Kibira also said that as Uganda enjoys relative peace, Christians should keep praying for the political stability in other countries like the DR Congo.
The Bishop who asked Christians and God fearing people to collaborate in soliciting the 4.5 billion shillings required for the function, later announced that a Parish Priest in Germany had written to him, seeking his consent to come with about thirty pilgrims for next year’s Uganda Martyrs celebrations.
