The Minister of Internal Affairs, Gen. Kahinda Otafiire has directed security forces to stop arresting people without thorough investigations.
Gen. Otafire who is also the National Security Committee was speaking during the launch of an anti-terrorism campaign at Mpondwe Primary School in Mpondwe-Lhubiriha in Kasese on Monday involving clerics from different faith groups and civil society organizations led by Muslims.
The minister who also warned the local against giving to security falsehoods regrets that many people have been arrested on false terrorism allegations, creating fear among the population who would otherwise be willing to offer useful information against crime.
