The Ministry of Foreign Affairs today clarified that Retired Military Maj. Gen. Matayo Kyaligonza, the Uganda’s Ambassador to Burundi is not dead.
In a tweet, the Ministry said it had learnt of false reports circulating on social media alleging that Maj. Gen. Matayo Kyaligonza, Uganda’s Ambassador to Burundi is dead, saying that the media reports were false and that the Ambassador was alive, well, and is on duty serving the country.
Reports however indicate that it was the Bunyoro Kingdom oil minister who doubles as the national quarry operators Chairman Dr George Kyaligonza also known as Bukudda of Buswekera proprietor of Muyenga stone quarry who was dead. The deceased was a great friend to Gen. Kyaligonza. END
