Three suspected perpetual thieves belonging to “Gaza strip” have been arrested for allegedly stealing metals on Kithakena Bridge in Ibanda-Kyanya town council, Kasese district.
The Bridge connects Isengera to Kyahundu cells in Ibanda-Kyanya town council.
This brings the total number to six so far arrested in two days, after their colleagues were evicted on Monday by the local leadership in Kizungu cell in Kasese Municipality over allegations of theft.
No official comment yet from Police about the arrest, but our correspondent in the area, Mr. Nguru Kaponerwa who rushed at the scene identified the suspects as, Mr. Edward Thembo, Mulhumbira and one Muhindo Kirengekanio.
Kaponerwa said the suspects were arrested last night by the local residents who nearly wanted to lynch them but police intervened and saved what many people describe as criminal gangs.
