The Police in Kiira region has impounded a Fuso truck carrying electricity conductors.
The truck registration number, UAZ 691T, was intercepted by a police patrol vehicle at Bugembe trading center.
The conductors were allegedly from Kisenyi in Kampala and were being taken to Giant Steel Factory Uganda Limited in Jinja City.
Police arrested two suspects Umar Ibanda and Moses Lukenge, who were occupants of the truck.
They are currently detained at Jinja Central Police station.
Ibanda told the police that they were only hired to deliver the conductors to Giant factory premises.
