Rev. Fr. Joseph Tumusiime, the Nyakahya Parish Priest in the Diocese of Kasese has reminded candidates sitting for their national examinations this year that they will not succeed by miracle but rather revise their books and work hard.
In his homily while presiding over dedication Mass for Candidates at St. Kizito Vocations Secondary School in Karambi Sub County yesterday, Rev. Fr. Tumusiime later argued candidates against laziness caused by ignorance, adding that prayer should be accompanied by hard work for academic excellence.
Fr. Tumusiime who is also the school chairperson Board of Directors, asked students to have focus by being conscious of what they intend to do if they were to succeed. Fr. Tumusiime speaking……
The school head teacher, Mr. Remegio Kule, asked parents and guardians to timely equip their children with the examination requirements, calling for God’s interventions as the learners embark on their national exams. Mr. Remegio speaking ……
This year’s Uganda National Examinations will begin this Friday, with the Uganda Certificate of Education exams for both the New Lower Secondary Curriculum and the transitional examination under the old curriculum. END
