The Parish Priest for Nyakahya in the Diocese of Kasese, Rev. Fr. Joseph Tumusiime calls for plans for a Music Notation use, a modern way of saving and protecting songs in their originality for future use.
Speaking to our reporter shortly after a one day Xmas Carol competitions in his parish over the weekend, Fr. Tumusiime who encouraged practice by all choirs in the Diocese, defined music notation software as the latest technology that will facilitate creating, saving, learning, viewing, protecting and sharing music in her original form for generations. He later said the parish Xmas Carols were partly to remind the choir members and leaderships of the many songs they have not made use of in the song book, as well as making members proud of the Catholic compositions he said were sourced from the Bible to guide the flock of God.
