Drama ensued this morning after Police attempted to stop the communal work led by Rev. Fr. Richard Sausi, the Coordinator of St. Francis of Asis Kidodo pastoral Centre that would see potholes on their road worked upon.
The irate residents refused orders from Railway Police post to have the communal work stopped on allegations that the team leaders were soliciting money from the local community to facilitate active men and women filling major potholes along Kidodo-Kikonzo road.

The scuffle forced the intervention of the Rwenzori East Region Police spokesperson, SP. Luke Mbusa who convened a crisis meeting with the local community and advised them to continue with the works but cautioned them against erecting any road block in disguise of soliciting money, which he described as unlawful. Rev.Fr.Sausi, who said the community service was legally planned after informing the relevant offices including the Kasese Municipal Mayor, Chance Kahindo, wondered why the leaders boycotted the communual work aimed at filling major pot halls in an area for the good of the local population.

Hon. John Siriwayo, the Municipal Secretary for works and technical services, said they are still waiting for guidelines from Government before spending about Five hundred million shillings allocated under road fund.
However, the former Kasese Municipality Member of Parliament, Hon.Robert Centenary and former LC3 chairperson for Nyamwamba division, Mr.Saidi Kisuki donated four trips of murram to fill the potholes.
