Rev. Fr. Remegio Thembo, the curate of Kasanga Parish, has urged Senior Four candidates across the District to uphold discipline and seek God’s blessings as the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) examinations commenced yesterday with the official briefing.

Presiding over a dedication Mass at St. Maria Goreti Secondary School in Mpondwe-Lhubiriha Town Council, Fr. Remegio advised students to maintain high level of discipline, which he said is essential for success in their final exams.

Ms. Annet Kabugho Winy, the Deputy Head Teacher of St. Maria Goreti Secondary School, called on the district security team to provide adequate security around schools along the Uganda-Congo border to ensure the safety of learners.
Some S.4 candidates who spoke to our reporter, including, Ms. Florence Kawesimu, Ms. Immaculate Kabugho, and Mr. Geoffrey Kule, expressed their gratitude to their parents and teachers for their unwavering support.
Hon. Julius Rubale Bwambale, the Youth Councilor for Karambi Sub-county and FDC flag bearer for Kithuthi Parish, also cautioned the candidates against examination malpractices. END
