Rev. Fr. Ednus Mumbere, the Education Coordinator Kasese Cathedral Parish, has called on parents and guardians to invest in their children’s education by hiring private teachers during the ongoing nationwide teachers’ strike.

Speaking yesterday during a Parents and Teachers Association (PTA) meeting at Uganda Martyrs Nyakasanga Primary School, Fr. Ednus reaffirmed that schools founded by the Catholic Church would remain operational despite the industrial action by government-employed teachers.
He emphasized that the Catholic Church, as the founding body of the historical schools, fully supports efforts to keep children in class.
Fr.Ednus, urged for collaborative effort between parents and school administrators to hire private teachers who can continue educating pupils during the strike. Fr. Ednus speaking…..
