Former Rwenzururu Prime Minister, Thembo Kitsumbire has asked Government to drop charges of treason, Murder, malicious damage, aggravated robbery, it slapped on him after seven years in and out of prison.
The now 74 year old revealed that the court further confined him in Kampala and has made it hard for him to visit his home in Kasese.
When asked by the press if he had asked the Omusinga Charles Wisley Mumbere Iremangoma for help, he said the Omusinga had instead told him to battle out the charges individually.
In response to whether the charges can be dropped, James Ereemya Mawanda, the Judiciary spokesperson said powers are in the hands of the Directorate of Public Prosecution-DPP. END.
