A section of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) youth from Busongora County South in Kasese District held a meeting yesterday focused on party mobilization, particularly among the youth, ahead of the 2026 general elections.
The meeting, supported by the former Kasese Deputy Resident District Commissioner Mr. Aminadabu Muhindo, took place at Collin Palm Hotel in Rukoki Ward, Kasese Town.
Participants discussed strategies for engaging young people in peaceful and constructive participation in the upcoming elections.
Speaking to the media shortly after the meeting, Mr. Brian Kaheru, the Kasese District NRM Youth General Secretary, urged the government to help youth prioritize agricultural activities.
He noted that the district benefits from an irrigation scheme that could enhance food security.
