The Late Giles Kahika was a mentor, teacher, counselor and a guide to many administrators, Mr. Amis Masereka Asuman, the Kasese district Chief Administrative Officer has said.
The late Kahika, the former Kasese district Chief Administrative Officer passed on at Mulago National Referral hospital on Monday(21st.06.2022).

The Late Giles Kahika was Chief Administrative officer Kasese from 2000-2007 at a time Mr. Yokasi Bihande was the district local council five Chairperson.
At this time, the late Mr. Kahika with his supportive and focused chairman, Mr. Yokasi Bihande, many feeder and community access roads, health centers, schools and bridges mainly in the hard to reach Mbata , Kasangali and Kibirigha among other areas in district were worked on under the then Belgium Technical Corporation funding.
At the time of his death, the Late Kahika had been a Management & Governance Consultant at the Uganda Management Institute in Kampala.
According to our reporter, Monday next week had been tentatively scheduled for his burial at their ancestral home in Kisinga subcounty in Kasese district.
