The Diocese of Kasese has joined the rest of the world to mourn the former Vicar General of Butembo-Beni Diocese in the DR-Congo, Msgr. Emmanuel Mwanamupenzi who died in Italy.

No much has been published about his death but sources have confirmed that the late Msgr. Mwanamupenzi passed on after a long illness that had previously referred him to a specialized hospital in Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya.

Speaking to Kasese Guide radio this afternoon, the Vicar General of the Diocese of Kasese, Msgr. Landaus Bwambale described the late Msgr. Mwanamupenzi as a hard working servant of God who stood for transparency, unity and peace for all.

Msgr. Landaus who spoke on behalf of Bishop Francis Acquirinus Kibira, the Bishop of the Diocese of Kasese, sympathized with Bishop Melchisedek Paluku, the clergy and Christians of the Diocese of Butembo-Beni whom he asked to continue praying for the soul of the deceased.

In the same condolence message, Msgr. Landaus prays that God consoles the Diocese and the family of the deceased.

     Msgr. Landaus speaking…….

May the soul of the deceased rest in eternal Peace. END
