Dr. Crispus Kiyonga, the Bukonzo County West NRM Parliamentary candidate in Kasese district has announced plans to support goat rearing as another income source to boost the living condition of his electorates.
Dr. Kiyonga who was duly nominated yesterday by Mr. Godfrey Mbabazi, the Kasese district Returning Officer, told hundreds of his supporters during his first political rally at the old Bwera market grounds in Kaserengethe one cell in Mpondwe Lhubiriha Town Council, that whereas goats were highly demand in the neighboring DR Congo, his electorates were not benefiting much because their animals do not service the market demands. The former Ambassador to Beijing in China further indicated that improving health, education, food security and creating more avenues for people to earn a living, were top on his political agenda if elected back to parliament. Dr. Kiyonga speaking….
Earlier, Mr. Peter Sunday Kakule, the Nyakiyumbu subcounty local council three chairperson who doubles as the official agent for Dr. Kiyonga, revealed that the political graph of their candidate had been boosted by the support from the two main NRM political camps; Team Kabyanga and Team Capson that had decided to rally behind the NRM’s official flag bearer.
