People living along Mpondwe-Lhubiriha River valley in Mpondwe- Lhubiriha Town Council, Kasese district have asked Kasese Resident District Commissioner Lt. Joe Walusimbi to extend food relief food to their families.

Speaking to this Radio yesterday, some of the affected persons whose crop gardens were destroyed by the devastated floods said their families are allegedly surviving on empty stomach.

Yonia Nziabake aged 80 years who is taking care of her grandchildren said life has become difficult to access food in her family.

Stephen Monday Kikalhangire, the Local Council two Chairperson for Kamukumbi Village in Isango sub-county, said over two hundred households were reportedly affected in the sub-county.

However, members of Kyambogho United Progressive Students Youth Association-KUPSYA yesterday donated 2,000 kilograms of beans to flood victims at Nyabugando primary school, according to the organization president Mr.Saidi Kule.
