A five months old toddler from Hima Town Council in Kasese district is under isolation at Bwera general Hospital after showing suspected signs and symptoms of the Ebola virus.
Mr. Torakamu Bakalyaghe, the Senior Clinical Officer at Bwera hospital and in charge of the isolation unit told a District Ebola taskforce meeting on public Health threats at Boma grounds in Kasese Municipality yesterday, said the Kagando hospital medics referred the toddler to the isolation center after persistent high fevers and body weakness among other Ebola related signs and symptoms, for about nine days.

He also revealed that another suspected Ebola client, a 73 old resident of Tophill cell in Katwe- Kabatoro town council had also been brought to the isolation facility at Bwera hospital.
Dr. Yusuf Baseke, the Kasese district Health Officer used part of his speech to ask the district production department to monitor some of the food that had turned life risking to the community.

SP Wilfred Isaiah Bagenda, the Kasese Divisional Police Commander said the operation to monitor against suspected poisonous food, should be collective and that police was ready to intervene should a work plan be availed. END
