Fire is said to have gutted a section of the Uganda Human Rights Commission regional offices in Fort Portal.
The last night fire that reportedly gutted the reception area, destroyed a photocopier, two printers, two desktop computers, documents, and furniture.

Ms Harriet Kajobe, the Uganda Human Rights Commission regional officer says that she was informed about the fire by one of the staff, and by the time she reached, the police and good Samaritans had already put out the fire. ASP Vincent Twesige, the Rwenzori West Regional Police Spokesperson, said that they are investigating the cause of the fire as the offices are temporarily closed. END
