Joint efforts are needed to neutralize the increasing cases of child abuses and violence against women if their status and contributions were to be felt, the Kasese District Senior Development officers, Mrs. Queenigonda Tugume Asiimwe has said.
Speaking at the Kasese district International women`s day celebrations held in Katwe Kabatooro yesterday, Ms Queenigonda indicated that cases of child pregnancies and marriages, defilement and denial of resources among others had increased especially during the lockdown.
