Eng. Patrick Oboi Amuriat, the President of the Forum for Democratic Change -FDC, has urged party contenders competing in the same constituencies during the FDC primaries to engage in dialogue and agree on a single candidate ahead of the 2026 general elections.
Amuriat noted that this approach will minimize internal conflicts within the party and strengthen FDC’s position against National Resistance Movement candidates in what is expected to be a fiercely contested election.
While addressing FDC stakeholders yesterday at Bellevue Hotel in Kamulikwizi Ward, Kasese Municipality, Amuriat revealed that preliminary reports indicate multiple aspirants have expressed political interest in Bukonzo East and West constituencies.
He emphasized that such situations should be resolved through harmonization to avoid division within the party. Eng. Amuriat speaking…
Meanwhile, Hon. Nathan Nandala Mafabi, who is vying for the FDC presidential flag, declared himself the most suitable candidate to lead the party, citing his experience, character, and extensive political network.
