The body of the late Stephen Kanisa Kyana, a 46-year-old man, was laid to rest yesterday at his ancestral home in Kihungu Village, Kitabu Sub-County, Kasese District, with Mourners describing him as a loyal member of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC).
In her eulogy, Kasese District Woman Member of Parliament, Hon. Florence Kabugho, described the late Kanisa as a principled man who remained unshaken amid internal waves within the FDC.
She encouraged party loyalists to remain focused and not be misled by self-seekers who aim to destabilize the party for personal gain rather than for the common good. Hon. Florence speaking….
Hon. Kabugho also urged the public to form Savings and Credit Cooperative Organizations (SACCOs) and engage in small-scale businesses to enhance food security and household incomes.
Mr. Masereka Selevest Caritas and Mr. Ogga Kahungu Misairi, aspiring Member of Parliament for Bukonzo East Constituency on FDC ticket in the 2026 general elections, urged mourners to vote for focused and visionary leaders.
Rev. Zephanus Buyingo, Vicar of Kihungu Church of Uganda Parish, encouraged Christians to always be spiritually prepared for death, reminding them that only God knows the day, hour, and time of one’s departure. May the deceased Body rest in Eternal Peace. END.
