Kasese district FDC Secretary for Mobilization and Publicity, Mr. Ronald Kabuku has decried low civic education by Electoral commission ahead of the women council and committee elections.
The Electoral commission started registration of women in Uganda yesterday(10th.June.2022), but particularly in Kasese there is reported low turn up.
The sitting councils/ committees were elected in 2018 and their four year term ends in August.
In his message to the press this afternoon at FDC offices in Kasese town, Mr. Kabuku underlined that its only party structures headed and coordinated by the district chairperson that are responsible for Mobilization of the entire exercise.
He said that unknown people were allegedly moving around Kasese Municipality discouraging opposition women to register in disguise of yellow register, which he said needs urgent attention by the party authority. Mr. Kabuku on Registration1….
