The Kasese district Forum for Democratic Change chairperson, Mr. Saul Maate has called for an official update regarding the anticipated release of the Rwenzururu King, His Majesty Charles Wesley Mumbere and his Co-accused subjects.
Mr. Saulo who said his party members had backed off from the matter over the previous accusations that they were frustrating the dialogue process, said the recent pledges that the King would be freed by Xmas, had built hope of the Kingdom subjects and individual families whose members are detained.
In his recent address, Hon. Godfrey Kabyanga, the Minister of State for National Guidance said smooth deliberations during the Kingdom-Government dialogue over the matter would see the King`s bail conditions relaxed to allow him in the Kingdom.
According to Mr. Saulo, the silence by the dialogue committee that involves the Kingdom Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. Joseph Kule Muranga, was forcing the Kingdom subjects draw conclusions that may end up being misunderstood for politics. Mr. Saul speaking…….
Whereas the King is on court bail with movement restrictions, Rt. Hon. Muranga says they were battling for the bail of the remaining sixty seven co-accused Kingdom subjects as other negotiations continue.
Hon. Muranga speaking…….
He calls for calm and support that will see the accused released. END
