    FDC boss Central Division in Kasese Municipality, Mr. Kigutiha has hailed NRM’s response to mudslide victims

    The FDC Boss Central Division in Kasese Municipality, Mr. Jafali Kigutiha has hailed NRM’s response to last week’s mudslide Victims in Kasika village, Rukoki Sub County in Kasese district.

    Kigutiha says the gesture showed brethren and respect for human rights that government ought to extend to her citizens.

    Speaking to Kasese guide radio this afternoon in Kasese town, Mr. Kigutiha, urged families that received five million shillings and one million cash from Government to properly utilize the tax payer’s money.

    Mr. Kigutiha asked the state minister of National guidance, Hon.Godfrey Kabyanga to remind government to expedite the process of resettling the internally displaced people encamped in Muhokya camp.

    Meanwhile, Pepper Fig Foundation has donated three hundred kilograms of food and thirty Jerrycans to mudslide victims in Kasika village.

    The food items delivered this afternoon by the organizations manager, Ms. Edith Muhindo include, sugar, Rice and beans.

    Ms. Edith, who sympathized with the affected families urged well-wishers to supplement NGO,s and government by providing more relief items. Ms. Edith on donation…..

    Mr. Paul Matsipa 100 years who lost four family members like others described the donation as timely but asked government to re-allocate the affected homesteads to safer places.

    The deadly mudslides claimed 16 lives in Kasika Village last week.END.
