Apple growing could in the near future turn into a more paying agricultural activity after Ugandan Breweries thinks the crop could minimize the importation of apple concentrates, a raw material used for making beer in Uganda.
Hajjat Fatuma Grace Kazigati, a senior official from the National Agriculture Advisory Services thinks financing growing of apples on a large scale by farmers in Uganda would minimize on the costs incurred on the importation of apples for individual consumption as well as those required to boost industrialization in the country.
