Mr. Peter Sunday Kakule, the local council three chairperson for Nyakiyumbu subcounty in Kasese district has warned local farmers against planting what he called stressing and costly but less demanded crops.
He also asked the local population that whereas some people have cleaved themselves to cotton growing, they should engage in food crop growing as a measure against food insecurity and poverty.
Speaking to Kasese Guide Radio over the weekend, Mr. Peter Sunday revealed that they were engaging some developers with chunks of land against forcing the locals into growing particular crops.
