Mr. Julius Rukara, the Kasese District Principal Agriculture Officer has asked farmers to consult first before rushing to plant.
Speaking to Kasese Guide Radio yesterday, Mr. Rukara said weather forecasts and indigenous knowledge are determinants of the planting seasons that farmers should keep consulting about for better harvests in future.
Mr. Rukara later said planting after what he called three down pours enable the soil to absorb enough water that supports plant growth.
