    Farmers in some parts of Kasese district have called for God`s mercies against this season`s prolonged drought.

    Farmers in some parts of Kasese district have called for God`s mercies against what they call this season`s prolonged drought that has threatened their crops.

    Mr. Alex Tabulenga, a reported community activist in Isango Sub County said that whereas most farmers are currently getting solace from Agriculture now that other businesses had been banned over the deadly Corona virus, the dry season was giving them no hope.

    Mr. Steven Bwambale and Ms Loudia Kabugho of Kabere and Kighenge respectively told Kasese guided radio that its only God to determine their future despite speculations of the reported rain makers they described as opportunists aiming at conning the public.

    In Kisinga subcounty, the Chairperson Local council three, Mr. Chance Kahindo warned individuals against attempting to con the community over the drought, before revealing that his area had started receiving some rain to aid the farmers` efforts. Mr. Chance speaking………

    The Kasese district councilor representing Kyabarungira subcounty who doubles as the district Deputy Speaker, Hon. Elly Magwara said that rain Busongora North was on average despite some challenges related to landslides and flooding on some steams in the area. Hon. Magwara….

    In Muhokya sub county, the councilor representing Kibiri parish, Hon. Asanairi Mugusu said that weather was dry, a situation some local residents in the area blame to witchcraft than following the right ways of conserving the environment and committing themselves to prayer. END.
