The Chairperson LC 3 Bugoye sub county in Kasese district Mr. James Katalikawa has threatened arrest of farmers involved in harvesting young coffee beans.
He says some farmers have resorted to harvesting young coffee beans to increase the quantity of their yield.

He says extension worker in the sub county have also been put on alert to ensure farmers are sensitized and that those behind the practice do not get away with it.
Mr. Katalikawo says that some unscrupulous businessmen have been causing confusion among farmers hence fueling the harvest of green coffee beans.
He says stubborn farmers will now be dealt with since they have always ignored advice and concerns raised by those who would want the quality of coffee improved as wells as its price. END.
