Mr.Asanairi Mugusu, the Local council three chairperson for Muhokya sub-county in Kasese district has urged farmers to practice mixed farming for food security at household level.
He described the practice as a mitigating factor towards improving food security at household level during this rainy season.
Speaking to Kasese Guide Radio in Kasese town, Mugusu encouraged cotton farmers in Muhokya sub-county and surrounding areas to grow fast food crops, which he said would save them from famine during and after harvesting.Mr. Mugusu one on farming….
Mugusu who described Kasese district as gifted land with fertile soils, wondered why people were still leaving hungry and planning to steal food and cash crops yet the opportunity was at their fingertips.
