Kima foods has officially opened a farmers’ center in Mbata Village, Bwesumbu Sub-county in Kasese district.
Mr. Francis Baita, the director Kima foods told this radio that the farmers’ center was mainly for crop preservation purposes without which, the farmers lose their crops.

Mr. Baita who called for ownership of the center by the local community, said the centre would guarantee continuous crop production like cereals and vegetables that will now remain fresh for weeks till they reach their target market. Mr. Baitha speaking1…………

Some of the skilled youth in Mbata village including, Mr. Ibrahim Mukenda like many others commended Kima foods for the skills training that will improve their daily incomes besides the farmers’ center that has provided some jobs.
Earlier, Mr. Baita has had earlier asked the local community and leaders to make good use of the center whose establishment was basically to make the locals financially independent. END
