Local farmers in Kasese would continue lamenting over low prices for their agricultural products should they fail to supply the required quantities and quality, Mr. Asanairi Bukanywa, the Kasese Municipal Agricultural Extension Officer has warned.

He also blamed local demand to their agricultural products to individualism in marketing whose bargaining power and reasonable prices can only be guaranteed by strength of the farmers’ groups he asked individual farmers to join.
Addressing members of Agro-ecology schools under Eastern and Southern Africa small scale farmers’ Forum in Road barrier cell in Kasese Municipality yesterday as they prepared for the commemoration of the world food day celebrations today, Mr. Bukanywa asked farmers to go by the pre and post-harvest technical guidelines, as well as joining farmers’ groups so as meet the required quantities and quality of agricultural products.
