The families that lost their relatives in Uganda as a result of flooding of River Lhubiriha are still waiting for permission from DRC to permit cross to Uganda their relatives whose so far two of the six Bodies have reportedly been deposited on the other side of Uganda`s neighbor.
By last evening(21 may 2020), the Kyabikere Parish Communicator, Mr. Alfred Monday who said that an internally displaced people`s camp had been established to accommodate the affected families said that the bodies of Late Agnes Masika a student at Magherita training institute in Kasese Municipality and that of the late Felestus Kabugho, a senior three student at Kitholhu secondary school had been seen deposited at the DRC side but would be brought back for burial after clearance from both government sharing this common border river. Ms Felezia Masika whose house was flooded said that it all began as a joke until she saw water volumes increasing and sweeping away her property.

The Kasese district political Boss, Mr. Geoffrey Bigogo who sympathized with the affected families, asked the local leaders to register the affected people but also back up the UPDF against people who may take the current flood situation to cross the common border at time Uganda is fighting the Corona spread.

Fredrick Sonko, the UPDF mountain brigade spokesperson had said that the three soldiers who had been taken by the deadly floods that also destroyed property were rescued and receiving medication at a health facility he did not disclose.
