The newly elected older persons’ representatives for Muhokya Town council in Kasese district, pledges to push for transparency, accountability and unity by political leaders as means to win the trust of the voters for development.
He blames revenue collection gaps to failure by some political and technical leaders to be accountable to the people who in turn see no reason for paying taxes.
Speaking to Kasese Guide radio in Muhokya yesterday, Mr. Peter Orucha and Ms Restitution Kabatabazi, also tasked the young people to be calm, consultative, ready to learn and be prayerful to God if they were to deliver than making decisions from the uninformed point of view. They also asked parents and guardians to have time, sit with and guide their young daughters and sons as means to shape them for future roles. END
