Entebbe Regional Referral Hospital has run short of COVID-19 vaccine doses as more than 3, 500 people have received their first dose at the health facility.
The vaccination exercise runs from 8am to 5pm every weekday.
However, on Friday, the centre closed at 2pm because there were less than five doses remaining and yet over ten people were waiting to be vaccinated.
Health workers diplomatically told people in the waiting area and others who kept flocking the centre even after 5:30pm that they had worked half-day.
Dr. John Kalyesubula, the medical officer at Entebbe Municipal Council, says that the health workers should have informed his office about the likelihood of a stock out and that all will be on. ENDÂ
