Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja has appreciated the challenges the rising fuel prices have caused and said it is a global problem.
During a Thursday’s plenary session presided over by Deputy Speaker Anita Among, Ms Nabanja however, directed energy minister Ruth Nankabirwa to make a comprehensive statement to Parliament Wednesday this week about the same.
Ms Nabbanja had been asked by Buvuma Islands MP Robert Migadde to explain the rising fuel prices in the country he said had affected prices for different commodities.
Migadde also questioned whether there is enough fuel in the national reserves in Jinja district.
His concern comes at a time when fuel pump prices are almost hitting 5000 shillings per liter of petrol and diesel. END
