The family of Mr. Daniel Kashagama, the self-claimed king of Basongora is to take legal action against individuals who may be found encroaching on the land belonging to late Amon Bazira in Rukoki Ward of Kasese municipality.
Addressing journalists at king Shagama’s residential home in Butsumba, counsel Francis Kasigazi a legal lawyer for Byabakama Company and advocates -Fort portal noted that where’s his client is in Mubuku prison over criminal case of encroaching on a communal land that was offered to Basongora by government for development in Nyakakindo village Hima town council.
However, a section of locals have taken advantage and continued carrying activities on the land which is still in court awaiting a ruling.
He added that locals have falsely convinced others to have won the case due to the absence of his client warning that whoever will be found will be sued and charged for trespassing since both parties are still waiting for the judgment. Mr. Kasigazi speaking…..
Ms. Christine Kezabu, a wife to Kashagama also expressed her dissatisfaction over locals who have continued to encroach the land whose matter is still in court on addition to demanding some of the properties set by King Kashagama before the judgment.
