Eight people have been confirmed dead and 37 others injured in a road crash, along the Kampala-Mbarara highway.
The accident involving a Fuso lorry registration number UBM 673k and bus number UBQ 621K, belonging to Gateway Bus Company Limited, occurred this morning at Kirumba junction in Kyazanga town council, Lwengo district.
According to eyewitnesses, the bus heading to Kampala enroute from Kisoro district collided head-on with a Fuso lorry that was loaded with maize flour heading to Mbarara. Some eye witnesses speaking…..
Mr. Twaha Kasirye, the Greater Masaka Regional Police Commander blamed the accident on over speeding by the bus driver who he says was rushing to meet his stage schedule in Kampala. END
