Rev. Fr. Loti Maate, one of the latest priests ordained in the Diocese of Kasese fronted education as a life reward a parent or guardian can ever give to his child.
He was concerned that some parents and guardians were not setting precedence before their children that education was a key element of their lives in future.
In his speech shortly after presiding over his first Pastoral Holy Mass at St. Mariko Bughayo Roman Catholic Church yesterday, Fr. Loti who is one of the two priests ordained on July 1st wondered what other kind of wealth some parents and guardians were planning to offer their children if not education.
The Kasese parish Curate was concerned that some parents were not bothered about saving for the education of their children, a move he described as fertile to groom idlers and law breakers in their different areas. Fr. Loti speaking1…….
In his Homily, Fr. Loti called for faithfulness, respect and reconciliation without which, families were to continue turning into boxing rings to the disadvantage of the Church and the children.
He also called on married couples against assuming un necessary powers but set avenues for peace in their families. Fr. Loti speaking2…….
The parish priest for Holy Trinity Catholic parish-Kyalhumba, Rev. Fr. Cosmas Asaaba who called for total support to the Church by Christians.
He also said the work to serve God begins from a family which he said that must be united, peaceful and prayerful to nurture priests and the religious. Fr. Cosmas speaking……..
He later asked Christians to practically preach the gospel of Christ to turn the world for the service of God. END
