Uganda Development Bank’s Managing Director, Dr. Patricia Ojangole, has been appointed Chairperson of the Association of African Development Finance Institutions.

The Association of African Development Finance Institutions, is the umbrella organization for development finance institutions in Africa and includes over 91 member institutions from across the continent and beyond, all engaged in development finance activities in Africa.
In a related development, Dr. Patricia has also been named Banker of the Year at the prestigious African Banker Awards.
Dr. Patricia was announced at the 19th African Banker Awards ceremony, held last week at Sofitel Hotel in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, during the African Development Bank Annual Meetings.
The Banker of the Year Award recognizes an influential and inspirational leader in the African banking sector who has driven strong financial performance over the past year, successfully guiding their institution to new heights in the industry.
On the same night, UDB was awarded by Uganda’s central bank as one of the best participating financial institutions in the Agricultural Credit Facility and the Small Business Recovery Fund. The Bank won an Award for timely and full payments of loans due. END
